I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
