The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Party
From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the city.
Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to undertake their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the party access places they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.
